The Chakras are energy centers of the body. They are located along the spine and extend up into the head. They detect the full range of energy entering a person's energy field. The orgin of the word chakra is from the Sanskrit word meaning "wheel or disk". A good ananlogy is to think of a CD spinning with energy.

There are seven major chakras. The chakras are the connection between the spiritual and physical plane. They are the place in the body where spiritual energy enters our physical bodies.

Balance in the Chakras is important so that we can be in harmony-spirit, mind and body. When we are in spirit-mind-body harmony we feel in sync, we enjoy a sense of well-being and we function at our best.

A Chakra Balancing session is a simple, energetic process. The receiver is fully clothed and lies comfortably on the massage table. The practitioner first clears the Chakras of any unnecessary energy. Then the practitioner proceeds to the Balancing of the Chakras. This involves facilitating the balancing of the spin or rotation of each Chakra. The intention for the Chakra Balancing is: "We are very grateful for this Chakra Balancing. May this Chakra Balancing for (name of participant) go perfectly and may she/he be helped in balancing all the energies that will enable her/him to experience life to the fullest."
